SmoothStar is super stoked to announce we are sponsoring the Australian 2015 Rip Curl GromSearch presented by Posca. The GromSearch series has developed into the strongest international series of events for 16 year and under surfers around the world. The Rip Curl GromSearch series in over 10 countries. For the Australian series it includes a five events and run in Jan Juc (VIC), Trigg Point (WA), Yorkes Peninsula (SA) and the Sunshine Coast (QLD). Although many of Australia’s best up and coming surfers choose SmoothStar, SmoothStar believe it is important to maintain support at the junior surfing level.

The GromSearch is a hotly contested series with many previous winners including:
ASP World Tour competitors Gabriel Medina (Brazil), Kolohe Andino (USA), Felipe Toledo (Brazil), Owen Wright (Australia), Jordy Smith (South Africa), Matt Wilkinson (Australia), Tyler Wright (Australia), Stephanie Gilmore (Australia), Malia Manuel (USA), Sally Fitzgibbons (Australia), Laura Enever (Australia) and Nikki Van Dijk (Australia).

SmoothStar will provide demonstration boards at all the GromSearch events providing Groms to fine tune their technique in between their heats. There will be many fun SmoothStar Surfing on land expression sessions with plenty of prizes.

Some of the best junior surfers in Australia will be competing including Nate Hopkins, Connor Lee, Ben Buckpitt, Beau Buckpitt and Codie Jeffery.

Other surfers include Logan Steinwade, Summa Longbottom and Zahli Kelly.
